MEDITATION AND CALMNESS.

Meditation was common, believe it or not, to all cultures. It is not just from India as many people think. Mayas, Aztecs, Incas and other cultures practiced it. The reason: MEDITATION IS PART OF HUMAN NATURE. Music has seven notes plus the pause or silence. Silence is part of the universe and part of our brain; but in modern societies laud sounds are more common than silence.

Meditation becomes really important to focus on what you do: Studying, working, having a family, etc. Being a part of a group requires some kind of behavior and when you are full of stress then you have a lot of irritability, maybe sadness or even depression and all that do not help to have a nice relationship.  You need to behave when you are with your friends or your family or just with the person you love. People will run away from you if you live criticizing or complaining about everything. Why will you spend your time with somebody who is always complaining and irritable?

Think a beat: Do you have a violent behavior? Do you feel uncomfortable most of the time? Do you complain about things very often? Do you get mad easily? Do you have the habit to shout?  If so you need something more than just meditation. You need a doctor and you should make an appointment soon.

Meditation can help you a lot, but not if you are under too much stress. The first thing, in that case, is to go to your doctor and slowly you can get into mediation when you feel better.

There are different ways to meditate: Mindfulness meditation, chakra meditation, healing meditation and more. The matter is to have a moment of peace and relaxation.

Modern societies are full of stress and technology, but we need both. If technology is pushing you into stress then you need meditation to face stress.

IRITBILITY, SADNESS AND ANXIETY!

Three horrible ingredients which are telling us when a person is moving toward DEPRESSION! It is better to be checked by a doctor as soon as possible in order to avoid DEPRESSION.

Now days, in this modern societies, people from all ages are under risk of depression, this include teenagers.

It is very common to see people under stress and therefore full of irritability, but we think it is normal. That is far beyond from reality. A person who is in that state most of the time is not happy. That person destroys all type of relationships. He/she is getting alone slowly and feeling sad. Anxiety comes to make the situation worst.

Many people are working and doing all kind of things under a big pressure and this is totally destructive for any kind of person. The price is really huge if the person ignores this problem.  Well, we all need to live and earn some money; but if earning money destroys you then ask yourself? Is that really worthy? In that case you are living to work and you are supposed to work to live.

Working is a necessity, but it needs balance. The same goes with studying. Teenagers under too much pressure, as workers, cannot give his/her 100% and sometimes people fail not because of his/her capacity, but because of stress.

Stress is the main cause of sickness because it attacks all the inner systems: nervous system, digestive system, circulatory system, immune system, muscles, etc. Stress is a killer and DEPRESION can make a person to have thoughts of committing suicide!

THE NEED FOR A CALMED LIFE!

Yes, we need a better quality of life, but it starts with our decision to be responsible of our own happiness. A very simple Buddhist principle is: ALL BEINGS HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HAPPY! So, we need to practice that simple axiom. We can add this: If we cannot make someone happy then at least do not hurt him/her.

When we get aware of the right of all beings to be happy then we try to avoid any kind of violence and we fight to live in harmony.

The whole universe is in harmony, so is nature; but we have forgotten what harmony is. So we need to learn how to be in harmony, in other words, we need to learn how to live.

A calmed life goes with the flow of the universe and nature. Both of them have not hurry and everything comes naturally. You plant a seed, but you do not expect it to grow in two days. You know that seed needs several days and months sometimes. That is nature.

When we rush all the time we are putting stress into our body and into all inner systems. Stress is good in emergency situation, but as a regular basis is a killer. That is why meditation and calmness is so important.

The more you have a relaxed life the more you will enjoy life. So, we all need a balance between modern life and meditation.
